Our faith rests on these basic Biblical truths…
We believe in the Trinity
God exists eternally in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. John 10:30, Matthew 3:16-17, Matthew 28:19-20
We believe in salvation through Jesus Christ
Eternal life and forgiveness are found only in Jesus, the Son of God.
John 14:21, Acts 4:12
We believe the Bible is the Word of God
The 66 books of the Old and New Testaments are inspired by God, without error, and sufficient for faith and practice.
2 Timothy 3:16, 2 Peter 1:20-21
We believe in the separation of church of state
The government should not dictate the doctrines or practices of the church.
We believe church membership is for believers
The church is composed of born again believers in Christ.
John 3:3, Acts 2:41
We believe there are two symbolic ordinances practices by the church
Baptism – An outward expression of an inward faith. Matthew 3:16, 28:19,20
Communion – The remembrance of the cross at the Lord’s Table. Luke 22:19-20, 1 Corinthians 11:23-26
We believe in the Priesthood of the believer
Every believer has equal and instant access to God through Jesus Christ.
1 Peter 2:5,9
We believe in the Autonomy of the local church
Every local church is free to govern itself and to associate with other Christian churches.
Philippians 1:1, Galatians 1:1
We believe in the worldwide work of missions
The church is responsible to continue spreading the good news of salvation both locally and globally.
Christians hold different views on a variety of topics from dancing to church government to social issues to music style to the return of Christ, but believers are united by our faith in Jesus. That is a non-negotiable issue. But the body of Christ is diverse in backgrounds, practices and opinions. We teach what we believe the Bible clearly instructs and we treat our fellow Christians with love and respect even if they hold to a different practice.
